Sunriser - In the City (Manchester music video)
Canadian indie band Sunriser recorded this music video while on a UK tour. Shot in Manchester, the band visits key Mancunian landmarks from Manchester Unitied’s Old Trafford Stadium to the Salford Lads Club made famous by Morrissey and The Smiths. If you look closely you will spot references to famous Manchester bands like Oasis and The Stone Roses as well as Manchester City’s stadium and other famous landmarks.

The video seems …
The video seems well edited in a rough sort of “too cool to care” attitude. I liked it. The song was bad though, very whimsical and without any real conviction. The melody of that tune has nothing to do with old Mancunia. They’re Canadian right? LOL
This band lacks charisma, I want my indie-stars to have some bollocks. These look like they would serve me choco lattes with a intrepid smile. Did I mention the video? Apart from just banally walking around, twas alright…

Well done Sunriser …
Well done Sunriser i really like your song it’s a bit Pavement/ Badly drawn boy.. and those are 2 of my best.
I like the video… I walk past most of those places everyday and you seemed to capture them in a very good light. Manchester can be beautiful.
But most importantly… At 04:21 you can see that they put ‘Match of the day’ on the big screen at exchange square. THAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT THE GREAT CITY OF MANCHESTER….
peace

Forget about all …
Forget about all those negative comments and remember what such kind of music can do. For me I can listen to this kind of music for hours on end. And always rate such groups with 5 stars! They need all the support they can get and why not be happy to see someone make it? Go look at their myspace page, it has a lot of their wonderfully soothing music….

ProfessorRobRight …
ProfessorRobRight go shoot ya head off somewhere else. Gun Crime is a rift in any city not just Manchester and certainly not just the UK!Infact more and people are upping sticks and moving to Manchester from the South. I am not a true Manc but I feel well adapted to Manchester and even folk accept me as an Adoptive Mancunian. When I visit friends in the South they relate to me as a Manc because of my accent!
Love the People and Love Manchester.
NB: RIP Anthony H Wilson 1950 - 2007

Video is harmless, …
Video is harmless, the music is pleasant enough, but I’m confused? Are these the same SUNRISER from manchester in the mid 90s? They were famous for doing gigs in their bedroom, I recall.
