I could not live like that. I don't know how you folks can live like that. It would do my head in living by a clock like a robot, with no time to stop and stare. I would not call that living.

My first thought is that the person you're referring to suffers from panic attacks and depression.

Second, I like the restrictions of expression because I'm an artist and that's what we do: find creative and hopefully wonderful ways to use the means that we have to express things to others.

Third: ANY kind of communication that seeks to explain reality is inherently limited. Actual first hand experience is best. Example: what's the best way to communicate love? OR, what's the best way to explain what a hamburger tastes like?

I don't believe in telepathy because it implies that we all think in the same "language", that we all think in the same way and that doesn't work for me.
There IS real telepathy going on right now, though. I am right now talking to you, ain't I?
References :
art

I do think that words are limiting & that we have become indoctrinated and inculcated with seeing people in certain ways, interpreting life through a filter of preconceived ideas and that our world view influences what we allow ourselves to see & what we are willing to acknowledge as true. I never thought about music & symbols being limiting but I've certainly had my share of bad songs stuck in my head. I also believe that we have developed our rational mind at the expense of our instincts and have lost something in the process. I'm not of the mind that animals are inferior to us (the highest primate). I think their instincts are better and their vision clearer. They don't need an ideology to be able to understand the world and perhaps they know it better for that reason. Cool song. Wasn't it written about prison? Aren't we all living in prison though?
References :
Do you ever find words, music and symbols restricting your thoughts?
And even the signal off of the tv can give you a headache? Or walking through a city can make you feel down? Or talking to somebody can make you feel anxious? Or you find yourself wanting things you do not need, experiencing things that make you feel less confident instead of more confident after you try them? Do you ever find language restricts your thoughts in the way that how would you think without words to think? You might even be more intelligent for it. And when you try to clear your mind, music can be hard to get out of your head, and certain symbols and pictures become etched in your mind? And when you switch on tv, the buzzing noise can make your ears ring and even give you a headache? And walking through town, do people's emotions kind of rub off on you, plus the kind of anxiety you get when you feel you are on stage when you are simply walking about shopping or whatever so you try to act as normal as possible, and try not to draw attention? And with experiences, do your emotional habits create a block for you that is hard to talk about or express? And without words to experience your thoughts, would thinking become clearer, perhaps if many people did not understand language, they would develop an alternate way of communicating such as feeling each others emotions, but one destructive emotion could then spread through them all quickly, and also no thoughts you have would be hidden, and you would have no secrets? I think this is called empathy or something, it is the ability to sense others' emotions and it is common. How do we know if someone is happy, sad etc. unless we judge how they act? We have been taught what kind of expression is anger, sadness etc. but what if we had not been taught what anger, sadness etc. looks like or what they are? Perhaps then we would use our instincts more and have a heightened perception of emotion and a non-judgemental, un-dismissive attitude towards the emotions of others? Like our emotions would flow out of us...

Perhaps with this kind of freedom, we could all bask in truth and create new possibility through free-flowing thought uch as being able to fly, sense where our friends are, sense danger from miles away, have telekenetic kinds of powers, have a heightened electrical energy within us and by concentrating our minds, even be able to blow things up... Perhaps this is the type of "one-ness" many people talk about...

Your thoughts?
