Music and Music Teaching: Perception by Now and Then
Music nowadays seems to be one of the most popular hobbies that the youngsters are indulging in. For some, it may be just a pure form of entertainment or a way of living, whereas for the others, it can be a serious escape from their stressful lives. They use music as a medium of conveying their suppressed emotions. Not too surprisingly, it makes them really into music.
Because of the different influences that the youth are exposed into, they are easily acquiring the curiosity of engaging into learning music. It may not exactly be reading musical notes and the other formal stuff regarding such, but at least, something highly relevant to it like playing musical instruments or simply singing.
Before, people, specially the youth, viewed Music, a subject in their primary and secondary schooling, as a conservative and boring one. With lots of different bits and pieces that should be memorized and understood without knowing their use and purpose, music then had been a vague and dull form of school activity to do.
Perhaps, the reason is that they relate music with “church” where they usually hear the hymns and praises when they were kids. They thought music should be solemnly expressed all the time.
As these young people aged up, they began to realize how interesting music could be far from what they used to perceive. From all the different genres and styles, they found a match. I am truly glad to say that finally, they are now fascinated with music learning as well as music teaching.
Many are aware that music centers began to spring suddenly nowadays. People look for formal lessons and their aim is, of course, to learn music. They also want to develop the talents they believe they are blessed with.
Music teaching is definitely an issue when talking about learning music. Aside from being considered as something pretty difficult and tedious, many believe that it requires lots of effort, patience, and passion in doing so.
However, with the kinds of trends, technology and methods that we have right now, music teaching has become less complicated. Indeed, different resources and tools are made readily available to be an aid to anyone who has interests in music teaching. It may be through various means like seeking the help and guidance of music enthusiasts and experts, enrolling in various learning centers, reading music-related books, availing advanced music gadgets, or browsing the web.
Music teaching has been both the career and passion of many musically inclined individuals around the globe. Thus, schools of music spring forth worldwide, paving the way for music enthusiasts for greater opportunities globally. That is how powerful music and music teaching can be.

Do you ever find words, music and symbols restricting your thoughts?
And even the signal off of the tv can give you a headache? Or walking through a city can make you feel down? Or talking to somebody can make you feel anxious? Or you find yourself wanting things you do not need, experiencing things that make you feel less confident instead of more confident after you try them? Do you ever find language restricts your thoughts in the way that how would you think without words to think? You might even be more intelligent for it. And when you try to clear your mind, music can be hard to get out of your head, and certain symbols and pictures become etched in your mind? And when you switch on tv, the buzzing noise can make your ears ring and even give you a headache? And walking through town, do people’s emotions kind of rub off on you, plus the kind of anxiety you get when you feel you are on stage when you are simply walking about shopping or whatever so you try to act as normal as possible, and try not to draw attention? And with experiences, do your emotional habits create a block for you that is hard to talk about or express? And without words to experience your thoughts, would thinking become clearer, perhaps if many people did not understand language, they would develop an alternate way of communicating such as feeling each others emotions, but one destructive emotion could then spread through them all quickly, and also no thoughts you have would be hidden, and you would have no secrets? I think this is called empathy or something, it is the ability to sense others’ emotions and it is common. How do we know if someone is happy, sad etc. unless we judge how they act? We have been taught what kind of expression is anger, sadness etc. but what if we had not been taught what anger, sadness etc. looks like or what they are? Perhaps then we would use our instincts more and have a heightened perception of emotion and a non-judgemental, un-dismissive attitude towards the emotions of others? Like our emotions would flow out of us…
Perhaps with this kind of freedom, we could all bask in truth and create new possibility through free-flowing thought uch as being able to fly, sense where our friends are, sense danger from miles away, have telekenetic kinds of powers, have a heightened electrical energy within us and by concentrating our minds, even be able to blow things up… Perhaps this is the type of "one-ness" many people talk about…
Your thoughts?

Just the opposite happens to me, inspiration comes from all formats of frequencies. You have to know where they are coming from and what to understand why they are there.

without thoughts, you are already perfect. Ever notice that in a new baby? It’s thoughts that impede because most people haven’t put enough thought into thought

I do think that words are limiting & that we have become indoctrinated and inculcated with seeing people in certain ways, interpreting life through a filter of preconceived ideas and that our world view influences what we allow ourselves to see & what we are willing to acknowledge as true. I never thought about music & symbols being limiting but I’ve certainly had my share of bad songs stuck in my head. I also believe that we have developed our rational mind at the expense of our instincts and have lost something in the process. I’m not of the mind that animals are inferior to us (the highest primate). I think their instincts are better and their vision clearer. They don’t need an ideology to be able to understand the world and perhaps they know it better for that reason. Cool song. Wasn’t it written about prison? Aren’t we all living in prison though?

My first thought is that the person you’re referring to suffers from panic attacks and depression.
Second, I like the restrictions of expression because I’m an artist and that’s what we do: find creative and hopefully wonderful ways to use the means that we have to express things to others.
Third: ANY kind of communication that seeks to explain reality is inherently limited. Actual first hand experience is best. Example: what’s the best way to communicate love? OR, what’s the best way to explain what a hamburger tastes like?
I don’t believe in telepathy because it implies that we all think in the same "language", that we all think in the same way and that doesn’t work for me.
There IS real telepathy going on right now, though. I am right now talking to you, ain’t I?

I could not live like that. I don’t know how you folks can live like that. It would do my head in living by a clock like a robot, with no time to stop and stare. I would not call that living.
